Hello, isnt there many scripts that allow DNS and subdomain creation for free or for small price. Also didnt ur ISP provide some tools, if they can offer 300mbps speed

you can create your own nameserver by pointing your domain name into your ip and create it through whm...

I used my computer as a game server.
It is not very hard to use it as any kind of server.
You install Apache,PHP,SQL,you configure it and you are ready to host (for yourself :P)

Connor wrote:If anyone runs or wants to run a server, it could seem quite tough and hard...Well I'm only 13 and find servers really easy...There are so much things people say to running your own server:

No limits on anything = Almost.
They are very slow = Your server is faster than mostly any shared host.
You can install any program for your server = Depending on your ISP.
Your servers need to be ran on a top of the range server computer = Not needed really.
It takes time and effort running a server = Well, not for me.

Well I think that for a small website you can better run it on your own home server, but for a larger website with alot of videos on it or a forum, then you must use faster hosting. Unless you have a 100mbit fiber connection yourself, but I only have 512kbit/s upload :(.
