By October 15 prices for generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) like .com, .net, .org, .info and .biz domain names will increase.

This is the result of decisions by the Registries of each extension above to increase their prices. Here's a partial quote from a Verisign press release:

"VeriSign announced that as of Oct. 15, 2007, the registry fee for .com domain names will increase from $6.00 to $6.42 and that the registry fee for .net domain names will increase, from $3.50 to $3.85. This will be the first registry fee increase for .com and .net since the fee structure was put in place by ICANN in 1999."

whoah. is this true?
and im surprised to find out that .net's are just $3.50.
thought it is priced the same as .com's

very bad , why do they use us like us , everytime there is somthen to ttrade in they increas the prices or decrease them , i hate merchents , verisign is runed by merchents

I never got my so called "Domain" from DN TEMPLE YET..
