Forums or blogs?

Which are better from an SEO standpoint? I was thinking that blogs can easily have all of their articles submitted to article submission sites, whereas forums mainly can be entered into directories giving a slight edge to a blog. How do you feel?

Blogs, I think...both are good, but blogs are a lot better for SEO...

Blogs are better that forums in SEO and traffic generation. We can create keyword-focused content for blogs whereas keyword generation in forums is more organic. In addition there many directories dedicated only to blogs. In social networks like Digg and SU, blogs definitely have a leg up over forums.

But, it don't have to be a blog VS forum kind of thing. We can harness the power of blogs by appending them to forums.

That's true, I have my blog connected to a forum currently.

Blogging is more prefferable. You compile all your ideas into like

an online diary. On the other hand forums, you'll be able to come up

with outside's point of views

Blog is better on seo because of the concentration of content so=easier SEO

I think a blog is easier, although I do not have a thing for them. Because you can submit articles and the whole blog at once, instead of a forum where you mainly just submit the link to it into a directory site.

Well, I agree with you. I like forums and have never used a blog, but for SEO, blogs are by far easier.

But forums can have much more contents compared to blog.

But forums are a bit harder to Digg and stuff. On blogs, there are just articles, which are easy to digg. But forums just have lots of posts, which are sometimes quite meaningless.

The way I feel is that obviously, many blog softwares like Wordpress has SEO plugins, they have articles that are easier to submit to Digg and StumbleUpon, or other networking sites, as mentioned above AND, RSS feeds obviously if fed to a search can generate some good indexing as well I think.
