How do you come up with domain names to register? Do you pick a keyword that you think will be popular and look for another word to match it? It seems most of the things you could automate, like all the three- and four-letter combinations, are gone. So, I imagine, are all the typos for popular sites. I left the first dot out of a popular site name, and lo and behold, there was a parked domain called wwwdomainname.

Or maybe you won't want to share?

I'm thinking about looking at generic products and just sticking words in front of and behind them.

I'm searching some good keywords and i check if the domains are available.
My goal is to get a domain with a nice keyword in it so i could get it easier high in search engines.

im using the name and keywords and ny objects i love to make my own webname. :] cuzz if you choose what you dint want then you dont have any likes to your site i mean how are you goin to get it going if you dint like it at all?

First think of a name that suit your site's theme, next look out for names available that match it, then look out for extensions , and then if not available look out for alternatives.

Never buy a domain and then try to make a website out of it, always do the vice versa.

Make a list of things that suites your site.

Say for example I have a site about Computers, my list would look something like this.
• pc
• drive
• screen
• hard drive
• computer

Then make a list of known adjectives such as this.
• awesome
• great
• good
• perfect
• golden
• smooth

Now combine one from the first list into one from the second list, and add a domain at the end.
• GoldenScreens.com
• SmoothPC.net
• PerfectHardDrive.us

The only hard part is finding domains that haven't been taken already. So thinking of unique adjectives would be a good idea.

Well, basically I come out by the site content and keywords. If the site is going to be a it forum, I will register a domain such as it-forum.com. You wouldnt want a it forum to be named stupid-forum.com.

My domain names generally relate to the theme of my site

Basically choose keywords that reflect the purpose of your site... That helps in SEO.

Even I am searching for a good name for my new site. At last I found it today by adding my sons name with the keyword online and it was available.

That and if you make your site you have to name it something. So , I'll name it after my site I already created....Therefore I naming it that makes sense compared to your site.

That seems like a really good method! You should try it.
