Joomla?

Postby lakeccrunner on Tue Dec 18, 2007 12:34 am

Does anyone know of any good Joomla tutorials?

I just installed Joomla yesterday, and despite how easy they (Joomla) say it is, it isn't easy, phpBB is easy, Joomla is not.

Joomla is easy. At least compared to Drupal or typo. It'll take some time to get used to the CP but once you know your way around it, everything will be a breeze.

^ That's my problem. I'm used to using a forum CP, but when I get into the CMS CP, things get a bit more complicated...

Try to grab a copy of this eBook...

It's comprehensive and explains most of the Joomla CP and other functions. Post specific questions here for fine tuning. We'll try to help as best as we can. :)

I think Joomla is one of the most secure CMS. If you want to be hacked - use PHP-Fusion.

The Joomla core is secure but extensions makes it vulnerable to hacking. Best way is still to back-up our databases often and at regular intervals.

Ive set up Joomla for a client a few days ago and I find it hard to use. The templates are very hard to customize.
