There are some good features available in dreamweaver, some which can save you using external utilities.

You can check the links in your pages/site by following these simple steps:

1. Pull up the results tab at the bottom of your window.
2. Click on the link checker ribbon.
3.Choose where you want to check using one of the options shown in this image:

4. If there are any broken links they will be shown in the dialog box.

To validate pages:

1. Pull u the results tab at the bottom of your window.
2. Click on the validate ribbon.
3. Choose what you wan to validate with one of the following options.

4. If there are any validation errors they will show up, if not they come up as HTML validated.
