I'm plans to start an blog and forum of linux administration.

I would check in the free hosting section of the forum, there is a ton of hosts listed there, and I am sure you would be able to find one there that would suit your needs.

On my site, I have both a forum and a blog. But I like forums better, where you can interact with other users and stuff. And forums are good for SEO, too.

It's a complete toss up. I think overall, blogs are probably better, because there's only one style of post... the entire thing is one post after another, basically. With forums, there are two styles. There's the main page, and the individual topics. For SEO, blogs would probably end up being the preferred option.

I like blogs a lot better I prefer to enjoy running the site, SEO rank is not the only imprtant thing.

o.O You cant compare a forum to a blog they are two different things.

Blogs (especially WordPress) are more SEO-friendly. Most forums' URLs automatically cause issues with SEO. Many blogs have been rebuilt to effectively use SEO methods.

well you can compare them to see which suit the site better, blog for comments and more SEO traffice, and forum for active community, so choose the one which suits your site.
