hello everyone,

now a day's we are working in the age of tabbed browsing and some of us are heavy tab user's

what i want to know is in order to open in a new page or tab what i use till now is target="_blank"

but this then depends on the client browser whether it open in tab or new window.

can any one suggest me a better idea which can work on both IE or FF and preferable opera too.

well, the way u said also opens the page in new tab!

well that happens if you already configuration.

some times it open in new window and sometimes in new tab.

so what i wanted to know, is there any specific config to open in new tab.

seems difficult to me... I'll think of somethin tho...

I've googled it up and it is said that html isn't even aware of tabs.. it treats them as windows... and if you take in consideration STRICT html, it doesn't even know about windows [or at least that's what I've read!]

You're looking at the wrong browsers if you want that kind of feature! If you want these features then switch to Maxthon Tabbed Browser. I love this one and have been using it for a long time, I'm personally recommending it! It has a feature where you can force every single link to open in a new tab--you just toggle the button on and off.

Tabs are client side, so there isn't really any way to force people to use them. It all depends on their configuration.

I am able to force open eery link in a new tab, so what do you mean?

What the OP is talking about (I think) is forcing the user to open up the links on his website by means of code.

Wow well if that's what he's asking then it's really not possible...
