This is a good idea, but in the rules at the other thread about this contest, it says that the height should be more than 30 pixels, so i think you have mistyped as 30 is very small. Did you mean 300 pixels?

To my understanding its an image signature. Therefor animation is good as long as it loads fast in gif format. Flash wouldn't be in a gif, jpg, etc format. it would be in fla or swf.

Flash movies can be exported as a gif frames or jpeg images.
I think still images would be best or mabe gifs as long as their small so they load quickly!

no , its not , a mistake in the base made a picture bad , there is no place for the subtitle (Best rewarding Domain Forum on the web!)
the only way is to make text small , but user can't read that because of small font
edit - i found a bug with screen shot in ie
try selecting it and it will be tiled scroll up and come back to same place you see its not there
